| Temporary establishment of acoustic monitors for dolphin survey |

| For approximately 6 months, an acoustic monitor will be temporarily established on the seabed [at Lung Kwu Tan and Siu Ho Wan] in each of the following locations (WGS 84 Datum): (A) 22 deg. 23.925’N / 113 deg. 54.205’E (B) 22 deg. 23.457’N / 113 deg. 54.448’E (C) 22 deg. 23.026’N / 113 deg. 54.698’E (D) 22 deg. 18.562’N / 113 deg. 58.644’E (E) 22 deg. 18.814’N / 113 deg. 59.144’E (F) 22 deg. 19.007’N / 113 deg. 59.613’EThe acoustic monitor is an instrument for collecting dolphin data. It is a structure of pyramid shape with a height of about 0.8 metre and a square base of 1.0 metre by 1.0 metre. Its bottom will be embedded in the seabed.Regular diving operations for inspecting and retrieving data from the acoustic monitors will be carried out by a work boat in the above locations once every month. The hours of work will be from 0900 to 1730 hours. Vessel engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the locations of the acoustic monitors at slow speed, bearing in mind that there are divers working at the locations. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.A working area of approximately 100 metres around the cable-laying barge and the derrick barge will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the cable-laying barge and the derrick barge. A working area of approximately 50 metres around the flat top barge will be established. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work except the period when working inside the Tathong Channel Traffic Separation Scheme. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution at a slow speed and keep clear of the barges, bearing in mind that there are divers working in the area.
