Changes to the composition of the Oslo Børs Benchmark Index
12/05/2020 – With effect from 1 June 2020, six companies will enter the Oslo Børs Benchmark Index while three companies will be removed.
Oslo Børs has revised the composition of the Benchmark Index (OSEBX). The number of companies included in the index will be 69.
The following new companies will be included in the index:
- Avance Gas Holding
- SATS
- Medistim
- ABG Sundal Collier Holding
- Bouvet
- Crayon Group Holding
The following companies will be removed from the index:
- Austevoll Seafood
- Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ser. A
- Borr Drilling

The Oslo Børs Benchmark Index is intended to be an investable index that comprises a representative selection of all the shares listed on Oslo Børs. Since the index is meant to be investable, shares included in the index must be relatively easy to buy and sell in the market at any time.
The Benchmark Index was introduced in 2001, and replaced the former total index. Since then, the number of companies included in the Benchmark Index has varied between 52 and 81.
