Harbour extension works to begin

Construction work on the extension of the breakwaters of the Takoradi
Harbour will commence on 28 September 2013.

The first phase is expected to take three years to complete and the most
important part – the extension of the breakwater – will take 13-14 months,
which will then be followed by other work within the port area.

The is not expected to disrupt shipping movements at the port.
