This is a gentle reminder that the Watts & Waves Forum will take place on Monday, 27 April 2026 at the ESCP Montparnasse Campus in Paris.

As the energy transition progresses, it is increasingly shaped by operational constraints—particularly in the context of climate change, tightening regulations, and growing demand. Among these, the relationship between water and energy is emerging as a significant challenge across economic sectors.

Organised by the ESCP Energy Society and ESCP Alumni Energy Group, with the support of the Energy Management Centre, this inaugural forum is dedicated to fostering strategic dialogue on the Water–Energy Nexus and its role in shaping the energy transition.

The event will bring together perspectives from policy, industry, and innovation to examine how water constraints intersect with energy transition objectives and how practical, scalable solutions can be developed.

It will explore the water–energy nexus as a fundamental relationship between the two resources. There is no water without energy—across capture, treatment, transport, desalination, and agriculture. Equally, there is no energy without water, from cooling and hydroelectricity to hydrogen production and resource extraction.

Scientists, business leaders, and stakeholders from finance, agriculture, and industry, alongside innovative start-ups, will exchange insights on current developments and discuss approaches to addressing these challenges.
