The strategic role of Greek Shipping for the country and the strong footprint it leaves at the geopolitical, energy and development levels, were highlighted at the 10th Shipping Congress of Naftemporiki , entitled “ Shipping Between Global Powers “, which took place on May 20, 2026 at the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, with the participation of leading representatives of the Greek and international shipping community, political leadership, diplomacy, the banking sector and the global shipping market .
The conference confirmed that Shipping is the connecting link of the global economy, ensuring international trade flows and energy and food security, in a period in which international balances are changing rapidly.
The discussions focused on all the variables that affect global maritime trade, the energy transition, freight markets, as well as the upgraded role of Greece as a shipping and energy hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The 10th Naftemporiki Maritime Conference confirmed for yet another year its role as a leading platform for strategic dialogue on shipping, energy, infrastructure and geopolitics.
