The working period and working area for dredging off Pasir Panjang Terminal have been revised.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.166 of 2012 dated 14 November 2012, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – between 14 and 16 November 2012, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
Working Area A2 1) 01° 16.584’N / 103° 46.722’E 2) 01° 16.445’N / 103° 46.952’E 3) 01° 16.263’N / 103° 46.844’E 4) 01° 16.401’N / 103° 46.614’E
Dredging works will be carried out by the grab dredger “Suez No.5” held in position by 2 spuds as anchors. The dredger, with hopper barge in attendance, will have a circular safety working zone of 50-metre radius centred at the dredger. Dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping ground by the hopper barge assisted by pusher tugs.
During the operation, the dredger and hopper barge will be attended by tug boats when required.
Safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn the other craft to keep clear of the working area.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to: (a) keep well clear of the safety working zone of the dredger; (b) maintain a proper lookout; (c) proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution; (d) maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control); and (e) communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.

For approximately 3 months, a fishery survey will be carried out [off Hong Kong International Airport] in the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (G) and the adjacent shoreline: (A) 22 deg. 17.713’N / 113 deg. 53.638’E (B) 22 deg. 17.210’N / 113 deg. 52.687’E (C) 22 deg. 19.393’N / 113 deg. 52.683’E (D) 22 deg. 21.423’N / 113 deg. 53.630’E (E) 22 deg. 20.653’N / 113 deg. 57.167’E (F) 22 deg. 20.218’N / 113 deg. 57.517’E (G) 22 deg. 19.498’N / 113 deg. 56.560’E
The survey works will be carried out by a survey vessel.
The hours of works will be from 0800 to 2300 hours. The vessel employed in the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of works.
The vessel engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

The working area and period for soil investigation works off Tuas View have been revised.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.163 of 2012 dated 12 November 2012, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays and Public Holidays – from 15 November to 30 December at the following co-ordinates in two separated marine borehole areas (WGS 84 Datum):

Soil investigation works will be carried out by means of borehole drilling using jack-up barge. The jack-up barge, with tug boats in attendance, will have a circular safety working zone of 30 meters radius centered at the barge.
Tugboats will be used for shifting the barge from one borehole location to another.
A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other craft of the project work.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working areas, mariners are reminded to: (a) Keep well clear and not to enter the safety zone of the barge; (b) Maintain a proper lookout; (c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution; (d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control); and (e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
