The attack occured 25NM SE of Sadh, Oman. The vessel’s last reported position was 17.14N 056.30E on 18 February. Further details were unavailable at the time of writing. Oman’s southern coast line has been the site of increased pirate activity in recent weeks; operators are advised to proceed with extreme caution when transiting along the coastline.
