DATE: May 12, 2012 –  COUNTRY: Hong Kong – PORT: Hong Kong Construction of concrete landing trough

For approximately 6 months, works for constructing concrete landing trough for a submarine pipeline will be carried out off the Black Point Power Station, in the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) and the adjacent shoreline: (A) 22º 25.085’N / 113º 54.779’E (B) 22º 25.140’N / 113º 54.759’E (C) 22º 25.064’N / 113º 54.667’E (D) 22º 25.036’N / 113º 54.727’E

Two derrick barges will carry out the works. One tug and one guard boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres will be established around each barge. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from each barge.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. The vessels employed for the works will stay at the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
