CIRM is a not for profit International Association that works in consultative status to the IMO. Companies can apply for membership at any time and benefit from being at the forefront of developing situations. They can regularly take part in working groups to look at current standards and new legislation from the IMO/ITU/IEC. Acting for the membership as an information exchange, the Secretariat participates fully at industry gatherings, conferences and trade shows worldwide.
The CIRM AGM and Technical Meeting is a gathering of maritime industry specialists who specialise in maritime navigation and communication product, mainly comprising, manufacturers and suppliers, systems builders, service providers, airtime and data transmission specialists and other electronic bridge related equipment. The Cyprus meeting runs over three days and this year day one has four working groups on Type Approval, IMO projects (e-Navigation and GMDSS), Radar and Service. Days two and three will have many presentations from speakers and members over a broad ranging progamme including ECDIS, VDR, Software developments, AIS etc.-
