Temporary Security Zone to be established
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary security zone encompassing
certain waters of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor from tomorrow (5 September).
The security zone includes all waters of Baltimore Harbor, Baltimore’s
Inner Harbor, from shoreline to shoreline, bounded on the east by a line
drawn from position latitude 39 ‹ 17 Œ03.41 N, longitude 076 ‹
36 Œ28.35 W, southerly to position latitude 39 ‹ 16 Œ58.24 N, longitude
076 ‹ 36 Œ27.59 W, located along the waterfront at Baltimore, MD
(reference datum NAD 1983).
The security zone will be enforced from 5 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. on
September 5, 2013. The general security zone regulations found in 33 CFR
165.33 apply to this security zone. All persons are required to comply with
the general regulations governing security zones found in 33 CFR 165.33.
Coast Guard vessels enforcing this zone can be contacted on Marine Band
Radio VHF-FM channel 16 (156.8 MHz). The U.S. Coast Guard may be assisted
in the patrol and enforcement of the zone by Federal, State, and local
agencies.

Construction of jetty at “Lubpark” shared facility
Works to construct a jetty at “Lubpark” shared facility, off Tuas View
Extension, West Johor Strait, will be conducted from 6 September 2013 to 5
March 2014.
The works will be carried out 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public
Holidays – within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates
(WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01° 16.783’N / 103° 36.562’E
B) 01° 16.725’N / 103° 36.719’E
C) 01° 16.504’N / 103° 36.457’E
D) 01° 16.446’N / 103° 36.613’E
Construction of the new jetty platform will entail concrete works, pilings
and installation of walkways.
A safety boat will be in attendance throughout the duration of the
construction works to warn other craft of the works in the vicinity.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and
international day and
night signals.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
(a) keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
(b) maintain a proper lookout;
(c) proceed at a safe speed & navigate with caution;
(d) maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 25; and
(e) communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF 25 for assistance, if
required.
