DSV Road has been named winner in the European Logistics category of the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2013.
DSV Road, the third largest logistics provider in Europe, won for the launch and growing success of the DSV Daily Pallet service which it rolled out across Europe in May 2013.
The judges were impressed by DSV Road’s decision to conduct extensive customer research and then invest in IT systems and new operational structures to set up DSV Daily Pallet. “This has resulted in shorter transit times and further improved reliability which has increased customer satisfaction, ” they said.
DSV Daily Pallet, which offers daily departures to 32 European countries via a hub in Germany, operates in addition to DSV Road’s existing direct routes. The service includes easy online booking, daily pick-up and departure and on-time delivery.
DSV Daily Pallet is one of a series of initiatives which DSV Road has launched in the last year. Its new Quote and Book Portal which gives an instant response to those seeking spot prices is also proving popular, as is its ‘5 for 5’ insurance scheme, offering insurance cover for only £5 for goods worth up to £5, 000.
“We are delighted to have won the European Logistics award, ” says Chris Malyon, Director Sales & Marketing. “We have listened to our customers and designed a completely new service to meet their needs so it is gratifying to have our efforts recognised by the BIFA Freight Service Award judges.”
DSV Road won the Staff Development category at the 2012 BIFA Freight Service Awards.
