Capital Link’s 5th Greek Shipping Forum was the major international conference of its kind attracting the crowds at Athens Hilton Hotel earlier today.
Nicholas Bornozis and his team managed to gather top of the brass speakers, moderators and themes-to-be-debate in a very vibrant atmosphere which amongst others included a special award for Pericles S. Panagopoulos by a very special Greek, Radm Efthimios E. Mitropoulos.
The event was also rated as one of the best of its kind vis-à-vis networking and having proportionally non Greek speakers; a truly unbiased situation, an example for all organisers. This event comes at no better time given the world’s most questionable and unpredictable markets, the need of financing new acquisitions and an embarrassing geopolitical climate.
We will revert with a full report once we have all the deliberations from the organisers. Interestingly a great support from sponsors and supporters proving the importance of the shipping industry to Greece and the Greece’s shipowners and services sector on the world’s maritime stage.
