Environmental Protection Engineering S.A. (EPE), based in Piraeus (Greece), is the oldest and one of the largest private companies in the Mediterranean dealing with oil spill response, having successfully responded to over 1.500 pollution incidents during the last 3 decades. EPE can provide services in every stage of a pollution incident: response – shoreline cleaning – waste management. EPE specializes in marine and industrial services including but not limited to:

  • Ship-to-Ship and Ship-to-Shore Transfer,
  • Preparedness and Prevention against Marine Pollution,
  • Contingency and Waste Management Planning and
  • Delivery of Accredited OPRC IMO Training Courses.

 

EPE, as a KillSpill Project Partner, participated in the Oceanology International/Spillex which took place in Excel London in 11th -13th March 2014. The project is supported by the European Commission. Its goal, among other, is to promote and deliver Innovative Biotechnological Solutions for Combating Marine Oil Spills. The consortium combines 14 universities, 4 research institutions, 14 SMEs and one spill industry trade association.
