07/12/2015 – The municipality of Oslo becomes the first municipality on the Oslo Børs green list.

The bond loan that is admitted to listing today –  Oslo komm 15/24 2, 35%  – is an issue of NOK 1.500 million with an interest rate of 2, 35. DNB Markets, Danske Bank Markets, SEB, Swedbank and Nordea Markets have been the managers for the issue.

In January this year, Oslo Børs became the first exchange in the world to establish a separate list for green bonds. Since then, the list has reached ten issues with total outstanding value around NOK 14, 6 billion.

The proceeds raised by issuing green bonds must be used for environmentally friendly purposes, and a second opinion on the project has to be sought in order for the issue to feature on the green list. CICERO has provided the second opinion for the green bond listed by Oslo kommune.
