Capt. Antonio M. Padrón y Santiago, “IMO Maritime Ambassador” and Maritime Authority of Tenerife, visited the facilities of the ESCUELA CANARIA DE NAVEGACION Y SEGURIDAD MARITIMA (ECNSM) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
During the visit, Capt. Antonio M. Padrón held a meeting with Prof. Sergio Marrero, Director of the ECNSM and with Prof. José D. Padilla.
The ESCUELA CANARIA DE NAVEGACION Y SEGURIDAD MARITIMA (ECNSM), whose facilities are located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has been conceived with the purpose of supporting and complementing the professional training of the graduates of both Merchant Marine and Fishing, as well as to the different recreational certificates.
It is well known by all Spanish seafarers that the Directorate-General of the Merchant Marine, promotes the training of our professionals in all areas related with the maritime safety and security, according with the requirements of the “International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers” (STCW).
The ESCUELA CANARIA DE NAVEGACIÓN Y SEGURIDAD MARÍTIMA (ECNSM) actively collaborates with the “Boarding Program for Maritime Cadets” created by the IMO Maritime Ambassador.
