WOC Partners with AI Earth Summit Event Session re Technology to Monitor and Protect Oceans and Coastal Communities

The AI LA’s Earth Summit is an annual event convening a diverse range of voices to discuss the future of sustainability and ways in which AI can be used to make an impact – including on the future of the ocean.
The 2021 AI LA Earth Summit Ocean Panel will address ocean sustainability in relation to use of technology to achieve ocean sustainable development.
World Ocean Council (WOC) CEO, Paul Holthus, and the other ocean panellists will be speaking on:
• How do we harness technology / AI for responsible ocean practices?
• What future casting can AI do to help support sustainable ocean development and what does this mean for investors?
• What are the winning monetization models for the blue economy

AI LA brings together a cross-disciplinary group of academic and industry experts and the general public to explore the future of AI, machine learning, and other frontier technologies, including for sustainable development.
WOC advances the use of technology to monitor and protect the ocean and coastal communities through the SMART Ocean – SMART Industries program, which engages ocean industries to collect and share ocean data by hosting sensors or deploying instrumentation from commercial vessels and platforms.
