Closer to home, on Sunday, June 25, Police discovered “a wild slaughterhouse” in the east of Nice. Forty sheep were piled up in a single room of an apartment at 8 rue de l’Impasse. One of the beasts had had its throat cut. The building belongs to the social landlord Côte d’Azur Habitat (CAH) and the room was barely 12 or 13 m2. The police operation was carried out in a tense climate in the neighbourhood, according to a police source.
