The participation lineup of Greek women in this year’s GIWA awards was spectacular. Over 200 Greek women from all over the world submitted their applications. GIWA is the largest Greek women’s awards institution and aims in highlighting the achievements of Greek women worldwide.

The awards are dedicated to the women that move forward and constantly seek development not in order to become better personally and professionally, but also because their purpose is to help make the world a better place. So these awards were created in order to discover, reward and empower even more these women to break the “glass ceiling”, but also to encourage other women to conquer their goals and aspirations” said the President of GIWA Mrs. Sofia Konstantopoulou.

The award categories are: Arts and Culture, Business and Entrepreneurship, Design, Education & Psychology, Environment & Sustainability, Fashion, Finance, Hospitality, Law & Political Sciences, Media & Marketing Communications, Science and Technology, Shipping, Social Responsibility, Sports, Young Star Award.

The GIWA Organizing Committee consists of eleven accomplished professionals who are offering their skills to the institution on a purely voluntary basis.
