CBS Blue MBA Class of 2025 graduate Ioannis S. Dimakopoulos receiving the Examiners Award for the best Integrated Strategy Project

Today August 9th – with the 2025 Full Sturgeon Moon gracing and illuminating the skies just before the Perseid meteor shower, we were fortunate to attend in the morning yet another Graduation Ceremony of the Blue MBA at Copenhagen Business School, this time for the Class of 2025, as well as a celebratory private gathering in the late afternoon…

Ioannnis Dimakopoulos’ proud parents and family

The Graduation Ceremony at the Porcelaenshaven building of CBS was a great event from all perspectives – we shall revert with a full write-up asap. Many congratulations to Irene Rosberg, the Programme Director for the Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (The Blue MBA) and her entire team!

We are proud that among the graduates we had four Greeks, three being present – Ioannis Dimakopoulos, Iosif Efstathopoulos, Rigas Kousis – and one attending the labour of their first child, that is, Georgios Atzampos.

Moreover, the best thesis award was given to Ioannis and Georgios for their joint effort – the title of their project being “Developing a strategy for MAN ES Retrofit department in an era of uncertain fuel and regulatory landscape”.

We hope that their thesis will help ignite the move towards green transition and decarbonisation in a coordinated industry manner for the greater benefit of all – as the Shipping industry tackles its 3% share of global emissions.

The finale of this unique and important day took place in the garden of the residence of Ioannis Dimakopoulos and his companion Eva Bungard Salama in the heart of Copenhagen with over 45 guests attending – graduates, family members and guests mainly from Greece. Greek and Danish specialities – the meat was superb, nice drinks – a couple of wooow wines, lots of networking and indeed as always it’s a small world – Aleksandra Billeskov do you read me… The couple and their families proved more than great hosts and we were pleased to see student couples with their young children too.
