The speeches from Dorothea Ioannou, CEO Shipowners Claims Bureau, Inc., Managers for the American Club and Daniel A. Tadros, the Club’s Chief Operating Officer – EVP as well as that of Ioanna Koukouli, the Piraeus office head, were well construed and presented, insightful too!
Further to last year’s speeches and predictions by Ms Ioannou and Daniel A. Tandros, which were fully justified in the field of P&I and Geopolitics, another aspect was more than timely; that of honouring Captain Dimitrios Flouris, the master of the anchor handling tug supply vessel Aigaion Pelagos, whom we met and interview at the IMO 2025 Bravery Awards after receiving his Certificate of Commendation for his successful participation in the salvage of the m/t Sounion in the Red Sea, an incident which was top in the news all over Planet Ocean. All in all a great event and milestone given that 2025 was the 20th Year of the American P&I Club’s presence in Piraeus, Greece.
