| Ever since the foundation of GreenSeas Trust in 2003, eco-education has been at the heart of our mission: raising awareness of the plastic pollution problem to inspire action and change behaviours. |
On 3 March 2026, our founder, Fazilette Khan, delivered a number of Environmental Awareness workshops to pupils at Mulberry Canon Barnett Primary School, London to inspire the next generation of Ocean Ambassadors.
The sessions explored how plastic pollution travels from our streets into rivers, seas and oceans, and the children were quick to spot just how easily everyday litter can end up harming marine life. Through hands‑on activities, they sorted items that can be reused or recycled and came up with their own ideas for cutting down plastic waste at home and at school.

To wrap up, the children took a short quiz to check their learning and filled in their Ocean Ambassador Promise cards, proudly pledging the actions they’ll take to help keep our waterways clean.
Feedback from the school was very positive, and the teachers reported that the workshops sparked enthusiastic conversations across the classroom about cutting down plastic waste and caring for the environment.
