The Kiel Canal Authority has announced that due to repairs, the New Big North Lock Chamber at Kiel-Holtenau will be out of service from 07:30 on 21 February until 16:00 on 23 February.

From 22 February to 21 August 2012, construction works will be carried out at the Cleanseas Jetty at Pulau Sebarok.
According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s Port Marine Notice No.18 of 2012, the works will be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within a working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum): A) 01° 12.513’N / 103° 47.515’E B) 01° 12.519’N / 103° 47.435’E C) 01° 12.363’N / 103° 47.496’E D) 01° 12.389’N / 103° 47.548’E
Construction of the jetty will entail piling, concrete works, installation of walkways, marine fendering system and mooring facilities. Piling and concrete works will be carried out by work barges.
A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft of the project work.
When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to: (a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area; (b) Maintain a proper lookout; (c) Proceed at a safe speed & navigate with caution; (d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control); and (e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68, for assistance, if required.
