HAMBURG/KIEL The Management Board of HSH Nordbank has appointed Dr. Torsten Arens (44) as Head of Management Board COO.
In this position Dr. Arens will be responsi-ble for all COO units in the Bank including IT, Operations and Services. He is taking over the duties of the previous general manager and Chief Operating Officer, Ulrich Voss, who has left the Bank at his own request. In his new position as Head of Management Board COO Dr. Arens reports to the Bank’s CEO.
Dr. Arens has worked for HSH Nordbank since October 2010 and was previously responsi-ble for the IT area. Holder of a doctorate in physics, prior to this he headed the entire IT segment of UBS Germany. The Chairman of the Management Board of HSH Nordbank, Dr. Paul Lerbinger, said: “In Dr. Torsten Arens we have found a proven expert and top performer for a key position in the Bank’s management. Together with my colleagues on the Management Board i am very much looking forward to continue working with him”.
