International law firm Hill Dickinson has enhanced its market-leading Commodities and Energy Group with the appointment of Mark Evans from Watson, Farley & Williams.
Mark has extensive experience as a transactional lawyer. He is an expert in regulatory issues, project development and financing, mergers and acquisitions, physical and financial trading in energy products and their derivatives. These include gas, LNG, coal, uranium, petroleum, carbon and power. As well as advising many of the major players in the industry whilst in private practice, Mark has worked in-house at Gazprom and Constellation Energy Group.
Team leader David Lucas says: “We are pleased that Mark is joining us. The timing is important as our energy practice grows from strength to strength. We are forging relationships with many of the most coveted players in the industry. Our Group is in the process of dynamic expansion with four lawyers having joined us in the last nine months. Mark’s expertise will complement our international litigation offering in this sector and he will also work closely with our transactional Group”.
Peter Jackson, Managing Partner, says: “The development of our Commodities and Energy Group is an important part of our international strategy for the future and Mark’s invaluable experience and skills are a significant addition to the Group as it continues to expand.”
