Precautionary procedures

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Yemeni Government has decided to put the following precautionary procedures in place with effect from 00:00 hours on Tuesday 17 March 2020:
Suspension of flights at all Yemeni airports for a period of two weeks. Humanitarian and aid flights are excluded.
All Yemeni borders will be closed except for humanitarian and aid traffic.
Ships’ crew will undergo medical examinations before ships are granted entry permission to Yemeni ports.

UK & Ireland added to European travel ban

President Trump has confirmed that the UK and Ireland are to be added to America’s European travel ban over the coronavirus pandemic.
The new restrictions will begin at midnight Eastern Standard Time tomorrow (16 March).

Closure of land and air ports

The Libyan Government announced on Saturday (14 March) the closure of all the country’s land and air ports for three weeks as a preventive measure against the coronavirus.
Although no coronavirus cases were recorded in Libya, a state of emergency has been declared to prevent the disease, and the closure of land and air ports ordered from tomorrow (Monday, 16 March).

Suspension of shore leave

As a precautionary measure concerning Corona Virus (Covid-19) developments, the Port Authority has decided to impose the following restrictions:
No crew member is allowed to disembark the vessel during her call at the Port of Fujairah Offshore Anchorage & Port of Fujairah. No shore leave is permitted including access to the duty free shops & seaman clubs.
Crew Change (Sign On and Sign Off) will continue as per the Immigration procedures.
Crew members disembarking could be allowed only in case of emergency and subject to approval from Harbour Master.
Implementation of this direction shall take place with immediate effect until further notice.
