Stefanos Kasselakis, leader of Greek opposition party SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, faced over 90 minutes of tough questioning by Prof. Kevin Featherstone and a very vocal audience.

The photogenic celebrity politician accompanied by his husband Tyler Macbeth was on good form giving straight answers despite the presence of many Greek media crews in view of the latest SYRIZA turmoil.

Kasselakis’ responses included that he wanted to turn the party into a compact Punch against the old System and that he would not resign irrespective of the Euro election results later this year.

A view of the audience

Themes of his vision for the future is turning SYRIZA into a modern grassroots digitized antisystemic centreleft party, supporting strong national defence, human rights (including migrants and refugees) a citizen friendly market economy without inefficiencies created by state bias and corruption, a well funded public health system and creation of a National Relief Force to tackle natural disasters independent of the army – alike the National Guard in the USA.

SK -nickname of Stefanos Kasselakis, continued for another hour answering questions and taking selfies with the mainly youthful crowd during the reception.
