Vergina TV’s Christina Tsorba interviews John Faraclas on Maritime Education & Training as well as on the total development and fruitful transformation of the entire Northern Greece.

Once again we were honoured to be interviewed on the important issues of:

a)Maritime Education & Training – a very important issue a bit neglected in Greece particularly in Macedonia given the importance of better living when people adopt the Seafaring profession. All aspects where tackled and Seafaring begins from the firs class of the primary school

and

b)The Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Industry in Northern Greece.

The main three ports, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Alexandroupolis must be fully updated to include the main ship’s categories. A must to have a Bulk terminal, one for Wet Cargoes(Tankers), LNGs and LPGs, one for containerships, one for Cruise-ships and one for the coastal services (RoRo ferries etc) plus marinas.

These three port-hubs will greatly serve Greece and in particular Macedonia and the entire Balkan’s hinterland and beyond able to serve over 450 million people with geopolitical advantages for Greece given Turkiye’s interest for the Environment and the odd old Russian/Soviet behaviour for the Dardanelles and Bosphorous straits.

None of these ports has a floating dock for repairs, not to say drydocks…
