CORPORATE OCEAN RESPONSIBILITY FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND REGENERATIVE BLUE ECONOMY
You have likely noticed our transition to WOC 2.0 over the last six months – new logo and branding, new website, new goals and new prioritized programme areas. We also have new membership categories, tiers and benefits – and that is what I am writing this short message about today.
We have reorganized what and how we deliver as a network for all of you, and we received an incredible amount of feedback on many aspects of the organisational operations and structure, including membership. We listened to you and now have and an even better, more strategic value creation that builds upon the legacy of the last 15 years – offering access, knowledge, engagement and exposure to build “corporate ocean responsibility for a sustainable and regenerative blue economy for all” – together with all of you.
WOC is unique as a global business network, working across sectors from shipping to reef safe sun block, from ocean energy to coastal resilience, and so much more. We have some of the largest ocean-facing corporations and we have startups and SMEs. And we work around the globe, with a new ambition to bring more of the world together for the kind of sharing and matching that makes WOC successful. We also now have an NGO/research institute category, as we heard from other networks, associations and academia that there was value in belonging to WOC as we convene and curate new approaches to a sustainable ocean economy.
