Considering safety, security and environmental issues, vessel anchoring adjacent to Fujairah territorial waters (between longitudes 056 deg. 35’E, and 056 deg. 47’E) is strictly prohibited with immediate effect.

The coordinates of the areas are given below,

AREA 1: 25 deg. 37.0’N    / 056 deg. 35脱 25 deg. 37.0’N    / 056 deg. 47脱 25 deg. 24.45’N / 056 deg. 35脱 25 deg. 24.45’N / 056 deg. 47脱

AREA 2: 25 deg. 19.25’N / 056 deg. 35脱 25 deg. 19.25’N / 056 deg. 47脱 25 deg. 06.0’N   / 056 deg. 35脱 25 deg. 06.0’N   / 056 deg. 47脱

Free passing of vessels through the aforementioned area (between longitudes 056 deg.35’E and 056 deg. 47’E) is allowed as per International Maritime Law.

The Port of Fujairah has issued a new Marine Operational Manual for Tanker calling at Fujraiah SPM Terminals.

DATE: May 28, 2012 – COUNTRY: India – PORT: Mumbai – Naval firing practice

The Navy will be conducting firing practice from 0630 hours to 1400 hours on 30 May 2012. During this period, there will be no shipping movements in the Mumbai Harbour.

No anchorages will be allotted during this time.

All vessels anchored in the inner harbour will be required to vacate the anchorage by midnight 29 May 2012.

No ships will be allowed to be anchored in the firing area at the PLA

DATE: May 28, 2012 – COUNTRY: Australia – PORT: Melbourne – Underwater maintenance works at berths

From today (28 May) to about 31 July 2012, underwater maintenance works are being undertaken at Port Phillip’s Swanson Dock West.

Dive activities will be conducted in daylight hours for the duration of the works at vacant berths at Swanson Dock West without impacting on shipping and berthing arrangements. A dive support vessel and Barge No. 92 will be located in the vicinity of works. The barge and equipment can be shifted if required at one hour’s notice.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the Swanson Dock.
